Addie, a seventeen year old brunette bombshell with blue eyes and a dusting of freckles on her suntanned skin sat quietly on the hay bales in the corner of the bay, taking in the scene of drunkenness in front of her. Never allowed to stay in the barn past 10 before, Addie had never seen the behavior of the kids who stayed out all night. As the radio played the sixth Luke Bryan song in 30 minutes, the DJ called out the time, 11:45. She took another swig of her vodka and Gatorade mix as she stood up to join the group in the hay dusted lawn chairs. A couple of the guys stopped their conversation to give her the once over as she sat down, pulling her denim skirt as far as it would go down…which wasn’t far. She adjusted her blouse, unintentionally maximizing the amount of cleavage on display as she did.
Addie looked around at the guys in the circle. Why was she nervous? These were her friends. She’d been in Trevor’s class in school since the third grade, Evan and Eric lived on her road, Courtney babysat her as a child and Erin and Jessica were in her 4-H camp tent site for three or four years. The only remotely unfamiliar face was Amos, the strong and silent type with a goofy smile who had three or four years on anyone else in the group. Addie had had a crush on him since he helped coach her dairy judging team a few years back. She admired his passion for dairying and his commitment to family and the farm-something she always hoped to accomplish herself. Amos was characterized by plaid, button down shirts and a mop of black curls that peeked out from under his worn John Deere cap. He had warm green eyes that lit up when he smiled and a pair of strong hands that gave Addie the strangest of sensations when they so much as brushed her arm. Even he wasn’t that unfamiliar to her. All the more reason to relax.
So, she took a drink. And then another. And another after that. The alcohol left a warm feeling in her stomach, one that made her feel both relaxed and happy at the same time. Within an hour she had finished her bottle and most of another than one of the guys had offered her. Feeling a bit tipsy, she finally stood up and then immediately plopped back down in her chair. Walking was not an option, apparently. She blinked a few times as the group laughed at her inexperience.
“Well…I’d better get to bed!” she said clumsily, trying to stand again. This time a warm hand on the small of her back helped to guide her to an upright position. Another on her forearm led her outside the group of chairs and into the barn’s aisle.
“Let me help you to your camper,” the voice said quietly. Knowing it was more of a statement than a question, she nodded sleepily, revelling in the bursts of warm breath that fell upon her throat as he whispered into her ear.
“Okay,” Addie agreed. “G’night everybody!”
Random responses indicated that no one was surprised about Amos’ offer. As he walked with her under his arm to her camper at the edge of the fairgrounds, he broke the silence between them.
“So how are you feeling?” he asked her, in obvious reference to the drinks.
“I feel great!” she said excitedly, stopping to look him in the face under the pale moonlight. “How do you feel?”
“I feel fine, Addie. But I’m not the one who downed two bottles of vodka and Gatorade in an hour. I’m guessing you don’t drink much?”
She blushed. “No. Not much…” Embarrassed, she hung her head. Even when she tried to fit in with the others she stood out like a sore thumb. They all probably thought her an idiot after tonight. “Do you think I’m a little kid, Amos?” she asked concernedly, looking into his eyes again. They were kind eyes, she thought, speckled with gold and grey flecks that danced under the light of the moon. He smiled.
“No, Addie…in fact a little kid is one of the last things I would think to call you.” he said. “I think you are a sexy, beautiful woman with a big heart.”
Addie kept her jaw from dropping on the ground. What did he just say? Was this coming from the same Amos she knew from dairy judging, who wouldn’t even look her in the eye as she presented her oral reasons? Did he really call her sexy, beautiful even?
Addie’s heart skipped a beat in her chest as she smiled back at him. “Do you really think so?”
“I’m a man of my word,” he said sweetly, taking in her beauty in the darkness. He was surprised though, as she moved her hands out from under his arm to wrap them around his neck. Pressing her lips to his, Addie gave Amos the deepest, most heated kiss of her life before taking a step back to look at him again. A groan escaped his lips as she stepped away and he wrapped his arms around her waist, palms open on her shapely, denim clad rear.
She smiled up at him, biting her lower lip as he pulled her closer to his body.
“Could a little girl kiss a man like that?” he asked softly, nibbling at her throat. “Because I don’t think she could…”
Addie smiled into his shoulder, enjoying the feel of his hot tongue on her throat. “Amos,” she whispered. “Will you come back to my camper with me? My parents went home this afternoon, so it’s just you and me.”
He groaned in anticipation as she spoke. Taking the time to squeeze both of her deliciously round cheeks before picking her up to straddle him as they walked, Amos couldn’t help but smile. How did he get so lucky to land a night with a girl as beautiful as Addie?
She began to kiss him as they walked the 100 feet to her camper door. He opened his mouth, allowing her to delve into him with her tongue, however sloppily. She wrapped her arms around his head, twisted her fingers in his hair and moaned into his mouth as he returned her attention. Opening the camper door as he shifted her onto one of his knees, they fell onto the linoleum floor, Amos settling between her shapely tanned legs.
“Addie,” he said breathlessly as he continued to kiss and lick his way to her ample cleavage. “Are you sure you’re okay with this?”
“I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life…” she said, lightly squeezing the bulge in his jeans.
“Well, if you’re okay with it, I sure as hell am! What do you say we get down to business? It’s 1 AM now and I heard your dad say he’d be bringing TMR at 6…I may not be finished with you by then!” he said in a low, scratchy voice as he began to pull at the buttons on her skirt, the door clicking shut as they moved into the center of the floor.
