In the mirror, light falls softly,
Tracing channels down my face.
Beauteous dreams will never come true;
They are lost without a trace.
What seeds were grown when worlds were safe?
What plants could softly grow and bloom?
For now the daylight breaks so gently,
Bitter petals fall to doom.
Excitement thought of once so hotly,
Whispers of a dreamtime myth;
But daylight’s unforgiving searing
Strips away the rose’s pith.
Ugly past and ugly present,
Ugly always now and then.
No matter Love’s delighted songbird
When the Wolf creeps from his den.
No expression, no words uttered
Change the facts and come what may,
Ugly haunts me, ugly is me;
Ugly never goes away.
Fuck all beauty, fuck it senseless;
Fuck it hard and strong, will you?
Fuck it deep with lustful longing.
I once wished that you’d fuck me too.
