Two hearts
So far apart,
Separated by a vast sea,
Rampant storms, torrid currents.
Yet they beat harmoniously as One
And only One.
Two minds, two souls
Entwined like delicate lace,
Beautiful but complicated,
Strong but fragile.
Each passing day
We weave the very fabric of our Love.
Extending tendrils
Out from both shores
Uniting in the middle
Of this inhospitable world.
Our day, our time
It has come
I scan a landscape of nameless faces, then
There you are
Our eyes engage from a distance
A gaze of lust and love.
A mixture of excitement
Nervousness, leaves me paralysed
As my dreams morph into reality
I feel like I’m floating towards you
In slow motion
After what feels like an eternity
Our first touch
Its a brush of your skin
Its warm, smooth, soft
Woven from silk
Hearts once thousands of miles away
Nearer by all but a few inches
Pounding to escape confining bodies
To beat against one another.
Each beat circulates the air
Passed between brushing lips.
The embrace of joined bodies is warm, tender.
This exchange of heat and oxygen
Fueling the fire and passion
Of this Love
Beyond our dreams and fantasies.
My whole being
Buzzing, dizzy, trembling, tingling
Fighting my dazed senses
To hold on to clear pictures
Of this dazzling moment.
One I want to remember
Until I take
My last
So far apart,
Separated by a vast sea,
Rampant storms, torrid currents.
Yet they beat harmoniously as One
And only One.
Two minds, two souls
Entwined like delicate lace,

Strong but fragile.

One I want to remember
Until I take
My last
Breath.
