it can be so sweet sometimes
thoughts frazzle like candy floss
webs for forward fingers
to flick apart– inhibitions
gone birdbrained, extinct.
no offense to the dinos:
iām convinced they were clever,
quite. not me so much
though. youāre telling me
to āgo with the flowā?
oh–no!Ā i see which way
this story leads. youāre
a nice person,Ā i know, iām sure.
iĀ think so; no doubt you mean
no harm to anyone, though
in a pinch,Ā i wonder if
youāre the best one to handle
crisis. letās hope it doesnāt come
to that.Ā i listen to you
way too much. iām encouraging,
thatās my downfall. youāre so
cute when you want a shoulder
to cry on. iām pouring hot tea
into you like motherās milkĀ
and all the whileĀ i wonder
what your lips, sweetānā
lowed, taste like. that mouth,
caffeinated, goes on
and on. oh, and ifĀ i stop
it with my breasts? danger!
salt and saccharine, mingled
explosive. wet cries,
confessions, rain outside,
us, ill-advised, a tangle
of limbs, musk. sympathy at dusk.
too too cute. nothing subtle.
so knowingly hapless,
iāll advise you nothing. just take
what you came for,Ā sweets and all.
