The Breakup

My heart breaks; my heart hurts,

How much more of this can I take?

On the praecipe I sit; watching, waiting for the wind to catch me

Take me over, throw me around, bash me to the cliffs.

End my suffering; my heart ache; my pain.

Free me from the emotions, the hate, and the loss.

Though I will not seek death, should it appear on my doorstep,

I will submit to it, like a good slave, and go willingly

For after all, do we not have a more powerful Master;

Than the one our Creator sends?

On bended knee, with head bowed,

I will submit to you, I will serve, I will succumb.

I will survive…..
